The Teachers 'and Principals' Trade Union Alliance has decided not to participate in the commencement of schools on the 21st and 22nd as decided by the government today (18).
However, the trade union alliance said further stated that they will commence their academic activities in schools from the 25th.
Today marks 99 days since the Teachers 'Principals' Union went on strike after demanding a solution to their salary anomalies.
The Ministry of Education previously decided to commence studies in the primary sections of schools with less than 200 students from the 21st of this month.
Responding to the move, the alliance of teachers unions said they would only report to work on their own terms.
However, the alliance has vowed to resume their trade union actions if their salary anomalies are not resolved before Budget 2022.
