Sri Lanka's First Test Captain Bandula Warnapura Passes Away At A Private Hospital

Sri Lanka's first test captain Bandula Warnapura passed away a short while ago while receiving treatment at a private hospital.

He was 68 at the time of his death.

Warnapura was born in Rambukkana, in 1953 and first made an impression at age 16 when he scored 329 runs during a tour of India.

Bandula was part of the controversial AROSA team that played in South Africa, earning him a subsequent 25-year ban.
