A no-confidence motion will be tabled in Parliament soon against Agriculture Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage for violating the trust of farmers by not providing fertilizer on time, MP Tissa Attanayake said.

He stated that discussions will be held with the parliamentary group and necessary arrangements will be made for that.

Attanayake said that under this government the farmers have become utterly helpless and the government cannot provide solutions to the farmers.

The SJB previously presented a no-confidence motion against Minister Udaya Gammanpila over the fuel price hike. However, the ruling party comfortably defeated the no-confidence motion.
