The backbenchers of the ruling party are scheduled to hold a special discussion with the President regarding the fertilizer issue, Parliamentarian Tissa Kutitarachchi said.

He stated that the discussion will be held in the next two days.

With the government's decision to ban the import of chemical fertilizers, farmers are facing severe difficulties due to the lack of fertilizer.

MP Tissa Kuttiarachchi further stated that they would discuss the matter with the President and provide some relief to the farmers.
