President Vows To Amend Constitution And Introduce New Electoral Constitution: Seeks Public Support To Eliminate Corruption

President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has said that steps will be taken to amend the constitution and introduce an electoral system as promised to the people.

The President appealed to the people of the country to assist in moving forward without corruption, under the theme 'One Country, One Law'.

The President said that although the economy was in decline due to the pidemic, a great deal of work had been done for the people during that period and thanked all those who were committed to control the pandemic.

The President was speaking at a ceremony held at the Gajaba Regiment Headquarters, Saliyapura, Anuradhapura on the occasion of the 72nd Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army.
