Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla is scheduled to visit Colombo in early October, India's The Hindu newspaper reported.
According to The Hindu, the Foreign Secretary is visiting Sri Lanka to discuss ways to strengthen relations between the two countries, which have recently deteriorated due to many reasons. He is expected to discuss a number of bilateral issues with the political authorities of Sri Lanka.
Dr. Subramaniam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India and Prof. GL Peiris, Minister of External Affairs of Sri Lanka met in New York recently.
It is reported that the Indian Foreign Secretary's visit would take place between October 02 and October 05.
