Seven Muslim MPs Lodge CID Complaint Against Gnanasara Thera For Spreading Racial Hatred Targeting Muslim Community

Seven Muslim MPs have lodged a complaint with the Criminal Investigations Department against the Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera.

The Muslim MPs have lodged the complaint against the monk over some remarks he made during an interview with a private TV station.

The MPs claim that the monk's remark could lead to racial hatred against the Muslim community in Sri Lanka.

H.M.M. Haaris, Naseer Ahamed, Faisal Cassim, M.S. Thowfeeq, Ali Sabry Rahim, Musharaf Mudunobin and Isac Rahuman have signed the complaint against the Buddhist monk.

These MPs voted in favour of the ruling party during the vote on the 20th Amendment to the Constitution.
