Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella says that the curfew will be lifted and the country will be reopened from the 1st of October subject to restrictions.

The Minister of Health was speaking to the media after visiting the Nawalapitiya District General Hospital to inquire into the future development activities of the hospital.

He said that the vaccination programme was successfully underway and that the risk of spreading COVID19 in the country was now under control.

He said a special discussion on the reopening of the country would be held in the next few days and steps would be taken to reopen the country with certain restrictions.
