State Minister Channa Jayasumana has requested all those above the age of 30 yet to be vaccinations to come without further delay.

Jayasumana said some of them had avoided vaccination programmes due to various fears and hesitations.

"Vaccination of those above 30 is expected to be complete before the end of this week," he added.

State Minister Jayasumana also said a number of people from the 20 - 29 category have been reluctant to get the vaccine due to misconceptions relating to the vaccine and fertility or sexual function.

“We humbly request them to come.”
