President To Leave For US On Sept 21 To Attend UNGA: His First Address To An International Conference Outside SL

President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa will leave for the United States on September 21 to address the 76th General Assembly of the United Nations

This will be his first address to the UN General Assembly and his first speech at an international conference outside the country.

Minister of External Affairs Prof. GL Peiris, Chief Adviser to the President Lalith Weeratunga and Foreign Secretary Prof. Jayanath Colombage will also participate in the President's visit.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa. Foreign Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris and several senior officials left for Italy today to attend a conference.
