Dr. Sudarshani Fernandopulle, Minister of State for Primary Health Services urged the public to wear two face masks if possible as the spread of COVID19 is strong.

She also stressed the importance of wearing a "face shield" when leaving the house.

She also requested the public to go to the nearest clinic and get any vaccine as soon as possible irrespective of the 'name' of the vaccine.

"Some are looking for specific vaccines because they want to travel. Everyone must live before they can go abroad," she said.

Fernandopulle said that people, as individuals, must take appropriate action to protect themselves without waiting for others to make decisions.
