Sri Lankan athlete Dinesh Priyantha became the first Sri Lankan to win a Gold Medal in Paralympics.
Priyantha also set a world record in the Javelin Throw event (67.79m) at the Paralympic Games 2020 in Tokyo.
He is a former soldier who sustained a severe injury during the final phase of the Eelam war.
Pryantha's achievement comes as a relief to Sri Lankan sports lovers who were disappointed with Sri Lanka's record at the recently held Olympic games in Tokyo.
