Former Minister Mangala Samaraweera has passed awaty a short while ago.

He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Colombo after he was tested positive for COVID19.

He was treated at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for nearly a week.

Samaraweera was 65 at the time of his demise.
