Seven Cabibet ministers received new portfolios a short while ago, the President's Media Division aanounced.

The highlight of the Cabinet reshuffle was Keheliya Rambukwella's appointment as the Minister of Health. Rambukwella, the former Minister of Media, recently said the government would not lockdown the country, but would place its trust in "vaccines and Gods."

Dullas Alahapperuma has been appointed the new Minister of Media.

Dinesh Guanwardena has been appointed the Minister of Education while G.L. Peiris has been appointed the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Former Health Miister Pavithra Wanniarachchi has been appoited the Minister of Transport while Gamini Lokuge has been appointed the Minister of Power.

Minister Namal Rajapaksa received an additional portfolio as the cabinet minister in charge of coordinating development activities.
