Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga confirmed that her son, Vimukthi Kumaratunga, would not enter politics in Sri Lanka.

She was responding to claims on social media that Vimukthi Kumaratunga might enter politics through a brand-new youth organisation.

The former President said that her son, a man who loves Sri Lanka immensely, would pursue other ways of serving the country.

Vimukthi Keumaratunga is a veterinary doctor currently domiciled in the United Kingdom.
