Sri Lankan cricketers Dhanushka Gunathilaka and Kusal Mendis have been slapped with two-year ban while Niroshan Dickwella has been handed an 18 months suspension from all forms of cricket.
They have been asked to pay $25,000(Rs. 4,988,300.00) fine each for breaching the bio bubble in England during the recently concluded tour.
They were seen roaming the streets, smoking, violating the bio-bubble maintained for the bilateral series between Sri Lanka and England.
The decision was taken by a five-member committee, headed by a retired judge, this afternoon. The decision needs to be ratified by the Sri Lanka Cricket Executive Committee.
