Minister Wimal Weerawansa said he was under self-quarantine for 14 days as some of his security officers have tested positive for COVID19.
In a Facebook post, Weerawansa said he would stay at home for 14 days as part of his "social responsibility."
The Minister also added that his ministry premises would be disinfected and his office would remain closed temporarily.
Weerawansa, however, added that the functions of the ministry would be carried out through distance working.
