Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has handed over an amendment to the No-Confidence Motion against Minister Udaya Gammanpila to the Secretary-General of Parliament.

The no-confidence motion was presented the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, led by Sajith Premadasa.The SJB earlier claimed that Wickremesinghe was working to sabotage the no-confidence motion against the Power and Energy Minister.

Wickremesinghe has proposed that the entire Cabinet of Ministers be included in the NCM.

The ruling party has already decided to back Gammanpila in the no-confidence vote.
