Former MP Duminda Silva Appointed Chairman Of National Housing Development Authority

Former MP Duminda Silva has reportedly been appointed the Chairman of the National Housing Development Authority.

Silva, who was convicted for the murder of MP Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra, was recently released on presidential pardon.

Silva was given death sentence by the Colombo High Court, which was later affirmed by the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.

Duminda Silva will be the first murder convict to head a state institution in Sri Lanka.
