A 15-year-old girl from Dayagama, NuwaraEliya employed at MP Rishad Bathiudin’s Colombo residence, has died at the Colombo National Hospital.

She was admitted to the CNH with burning injuries two weeks ago. She had been employed as a domestic worker at the Colombo 07 residence of the parliamentarian.

She had been undergoing extensive medical care at the Colombo National Hospital for two weeks before she succumbed to the injuries.

Police are conducting investigions to find out whether the incident was an accident or an attempt to commit suicide.
