Two Sri Lankan cricketers, Kusal Mendis and Niroshan Dickwella, were seen roaming the streets of Durham yesterday after the team’s disastrous performance against England in the T20 series.

The performance of Sri Lanka’s national cricketers has come under severe criticism as the team suffered a whitewash against England in the series. None of the players were able to play competitive cricket against the English team who dominated the entire series.

Meanwhile, another movement is currently underway encouraging people to “unfollow” Sri Lankan cricketers on social media in protest of their dismal performance.

It is in this context that the two cricketers were captured having a “good time” in England in the midst of a devastating tournament.
