The main opposition Samagi Jana Balawegaya has handed over a no-confidence motion against Minister Udaya Gammanpila.

The no-confidence motion was filed by MPs of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya last week.

The move came in the wake of the growing tensions between the SLPP senior and constituent party leaders supporting Gammanpila.

However, it is still not clear whether the SLPP MPs criticizing Gammanpila will support the no-confidence motion handed over by the opposition.
