The Ministry of Finance has granted permission to the Excise Department to conduct liquor sales via online platforms.

The permission, however, has been granted under strict condictions including a ban on adveritising.

This will enable supermarkets to sell liquor through their online platforms. Informed government sources said further guidelines in this regard would be set by the COVID19 Task Force.
