Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will not take oaths as an MP today, informed UNP sources said.

Wickremesinghe is expected to take oaths as a Parliamentarian during the third week of June.

Wcikremesinghe's entry into Parliament has caused ripples within the SJB led by Sajith Premadasa.

There are some rumours that several MPs in the SJB will join forces with Wickremesinghe upon the latter's entry into Parliament.

However, the SJB parliamentary group passed a unanimous resolution yesterday pledging their support to Premadasa.
