Army Commander General Shavendra Silva said travel restrictions would be extended until June 07.

The decision has been made following multiple requests exttended by health authirities citing the sudden increase of COVID19 patients in the country.

As a result, no relaxing of travel restrictions will happen on May 31 or June 04.

The Commander said the provision of essesntial items to the public would be manaed by Divisional Secretaries and District Secretaries
