Maradana Police have arrested a health worker attached to the Intensive Care Unit of the Colombo National Hospital for allegedly stealing oxygen cylinders.

Two oxygen cylinders stored in Ward 43 had been stolen by the suspect, the police said.

According to the information obtained during the interrogation of the suspect arrested in connection with the theft, the police stated that they are conducting investigations to arrest another health worker who was involved in the theft.

Meanwhile, an OPD nurse at the same hospital has also lodged a complaint alleging that an oxygen cylinder in the ward had been stolen, the police said.
