A heart-breaking video has emerged onine showing a mother attending to her child who was harassed and intimidated by goons to seize their vehicle under the instructions of a leasing company.

The child is currently being treated at the Negombo hospital and the mother says he is in a state of shock after his ordeal with the goons.

The government has announced relief measures for persons who default on their lease payments due to the economic impact of COVID19 but a number of financial companies have defied the government's directives.
