Several leaked conversations have suggested that the controversial “Pahanata Thel” movement, launched by a LG councilor Gratien Keraminiyage, was a carefully orchestrated campaign. 

The leaked conversations indicated that several opposition activists were behind the campaign and they were encouraging Keraminiyage to ridicule the Rajapaksa family. 

The individuals speaking to Keraminiyage state that the Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa was aware of the move.
