The Samagi Jana Balawegaya said there had been no progress with the complaint they lodged with the Bribery Commission against the sugar tax fraud. 

In an interview with a private radio station, Samagi Tharuna Balawegaya Propaganda Secretary Rasika Jayakody said they had received no update from the Bribery Commission on the complaint they lodged against the sugar tax scam.

It has now been revealed in Parliament that the alleged tax fraud has incurred a loss of Rs. 15.9 billion to the Government.
