Samagi jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Ashok Abeysinghe will not appear before the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) today to give a statement on his controversial remarks over the Easter Sunday attacks, police sources said.
Abeysinghe had informed the CID that he was unable to appear befire the CID due to his commitments in Parliament today. The MP, therefore, had requested another day to give a statement on his remarks.
