The girl who was arrested in connection with a collision with a luxury car at a car dealership near the Nelum Pokuna Theater in Colombo has been granted bail.

Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that she was released on bail on the grounds that no injuries were reported.

The Cinnamon Gardens Police have arrested a 20-year-old girl and the daughter of a senior Nugegoda police officer for recklessly driving a luxury jeep and causing an accident.

Another person who was in the vehicle at the time of the accident was arrested and released on bail.

The accident took place near the Nelum Pokuna Theater and caused damage to the showroom and several luxury cars.

A controversy sparked when the number plates of the car involved in the accident were removed.
