Five new COVID19 deaths were reported today by the Government Information Department, bringing total deaths in Sri Lanka to 58.

The details of the deceased are as follows;

1. Male, 54, resident of Jinthupitiya, Colombo 13. Passed away at Colombo National Hospital from cancer exacerbated by COVID19.

2. Male, 39, resident of Colombo 15. Passed away while being treated at the Homagama Hospital. Cause for death cancer and COVID19.

3. Male, 88, resident of Colombo 12. Admitted to Colombo National Hospital with chest pains and passed away there. Cause of death cardiac arrest caused by COVID19.

4. Male, 79, resident of Borella. Passed away at home. Cause of death chronic lung infection caused by COVID19.

5. Male, 88, resident of Colombo 13. Passed away on admission to Colombo National Hospital. Cause of death cardiac arrest and COVID19.
