Five More Deaths Reported By Government Bringing COVID19 Death Toll To 53

Five new COVID19 deaths have been reported by the Government Information Department

The latest announcement brings the total deaths in Sri Lanka to 53. The details of the deceased are as follows

1. Female, 83, resident of Colombo 14. Passed away at home. Cause of death high-blood pressure, diabetes and Covid19.

2. Male, 68, resident of Chilaw. Passed away while being treated for COVID19 at the Mulleriyawa Base Hospital. Cause of death high-blood pressure and bleeding in the brain caused by Covid19.

3. Male, 69, resident of Ratmalana. Hospitalised with chest pains and passed away on admission. Causes of death high-blood pressure, diabetes and COVID19 exacerbated cardiac arrest.

4. Male, 78, resident of Colombo 13. Passed away at home. Cause of death cardiac arrest brought about by COVID19.

5. Male, 64, resident of Colombo 13. Passed away at home. Cause of death asthma and COVID19.
