Total cases at Bodyline, Horana rises: 80 new cases

The total number of COVID19 infections reported from the Bodyline garment factory in Horana has risen to 170.

Eighty new infections were identified yesterday (07).

The Horana Medical Officer of Health (MOH) said that the garment factory, which employs nearly 6,000 people, was asked to direct its workers to PCR tests.

Reports of PCR tests carried out at the factory are yet to be received. however, among those who have undergone PCR tests include residents of Horana, Ingiriya, Bulathsinhala, Agalawatta, Kiriella and Padukka, as well as remote areas such as Kandy and Anuradhapura.
