A staff assistant at the Indian High Commission in Colombo has been diagnosed with COVID19, the Indian High Commission said.

The man was identified as an infected person yesterday (01) and has been referred to a medical center run by the Sri Lankan government.

The High Commission said that due to the nature of the staff member's duties, he has had very little contact with the officials working in the main building of the High Commission. However, some of the identified first contacts have been referred to PCR testing.
