President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa instructed health officials to conduct PCR tests covering the entire island, the President's Media Division said.

The President also instructed to identify the factors that have led to the increase in COVID19 infections in several areas and take necessary steps to prevent them from recurring.

This was stated by President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa at a meeting with the COVID19 Task Force held at the Presidential Secretariat today (29).

There are 350 Medical Officer of Health divisions in the country and patients have been reported from 28 of them, officials said, adding that maximum measures have been taken to prevent the spread of the virus to other areas.
