The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna today staged a protest opposite the US Embassy Colombo agaist the visit of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to Sri Lanka.

The JVP said the US official's visit aimed to interfere with Sri Lanka's domestic affairs.

The protest took place while a part of the capital city was under curfew due to a sudden outbreak of COVID19.

All public gatherings have been banned by the health authorities as a precautionary measure.
