Director of Kalubowila Teaching Hospital Dr. Asela Gunawardena has been appointed as new Director General of Health Services.

There was no Permannt Director General in charge of Health Services after Dr. Anil Jasinghe was appointed the Secretary to the Ministry of Environment.

The Director General Health Services is the most critical authority in the national mission against COVID109.
