Seventy five (75) more persons have been diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus increasing the total number of patients reported during the day to 276, Army Commander Shavendra Silva said.

All 75 cases are as close contacts of previously identified cases, he said.

Earlier in the day, a total of 201 individuals have tested positive for COVID- 19.Among the cases, 37 are from quarantine centres while 24 are from fishing harbours. The rest of the cases of 140 is close contacts.
