A Brandix manager who was tested positive for COVID 19 had visited the Marriott Hotel Weligama on the 3rd and 4th of October.

The urban council authorities have therefore instructed Marriott to halt operations, and staff to undergo a 14 day quarantine.

PCR tests will also be conducted on all employees and in-house guests at the hotel.
