A parent of a student of St. Joseph's College, Colombo was tested positive for Covid-19 and his family has been quarantined, the St. Joseph's College said.
Issuing a statement, the College said that the mother of the student is receiving treatment at a government approved facility. Although the family members are currently not displaying any symptoms, they have been placed in quarantine as a precautionary measure, the statement said.
The family members are due to undergo PCR tests, of which the results would be known soon, the College said. All parents and teachers have been informed of this development, the statement said.
St. Joseph's College urged all students and parents to remain calm, as the College remained compliant to all safety regulations. They would continue to monitor the Josephian community to ensure the safety of all, the College added.
