Curfew violators will be arrested; DIG Ajith Rohana

DIG Ajith Rohana said anyone flouting curfew in Minuwangoda and Divulapitiya will be arrested and charged under Quarantine and Prevention of Diseases Ordinance and the Penal Code.

He reminded the public that Sri Lanka was only able to come out from lockdown in three months because the public adhered to laws.

He requested the people in Minuwangoda and Divulapitiya to do the same this time. "Do not leave your homes,” he added.

“Health services will function as usual in Minuwangoda and Divulapitiya. The public must cooperate with PHI who visit homes,” he added.

He added the general public outside of Minuwangoda and Divulapitiya must ensure that health guidelines are adhered to at all times: "Wash hands regularly, maintain distance from each other and wear face masks.”
