Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has said he will use the stones that were pelted at him during a meeting in Ratmalana on Tuesday to lay the foudation for a community centre there - just like his father did before him.

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Eran Wickramaratne reminded the audience how the Opposition Leader's father, former President Ranasinghe Premadasa, had also used the stones pelted at him during a meeting to construct the Sucharitha Hall, and said Sajith Premadasa would do the same.

Meanwhile, Police today arrested today two people in connection to the incident. The two suspects were produced before the Mt. Lavinia Magistrate's Court and remanded until October 7.
