Two extra lanes have been alloacted for Tuk Tuks and motorcycles from today onwards.

The decision has been made following feedback from the University of Moratuwa which monitored Colombo's traffic management plan yesterday.

Rules pertaining to lanes were strictly implemented yesterday as a way of managing traffic in the country's commercial capital.

However, the decision was greeted with mixed reactions by the public. Observers said confining Tuk Tuks and motorcycles to the bus lane contributed to a major traffic congestion last morning.
