Rex Industries, a local manufacturer, has commenced commercial production of ICU beds for Sri Lankan hospital.

Health authorities have confirmed that the beds meet the medically accepted standards in Sri Lanka.

The process was inaugurated by Minister Wimal Weerawansa earlier today.

The initiative aims to address the shortage of ICU beds in Sri Lanka — a major concern for health authorities in the battle against the COVID19 outbreak.
