Parliamentarians Ajith P. Perera and Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka have not been appointed to the UNP Working Committee.

Both of them are strong supporters of Sajith Premadasa's bid for the party leadership.

The Working Committee is expected to meet today for the first time this year.

The Working Committee, the supreme decision-making body in the party, is entrusted with making critical decisions on matters of importance.
