Health Ministry has promised to take legal action against the traders who sell surgical masks above the government stipulated maximum retail price.

Ministry sources said the authorities have already conducted raids to identify errant traders who disregard the MRP.

A disposable surgical mask is priced at Rs. 15 and a N-95 mask at Rs.150.

The government announced a maximum retail price when multiple media reports claimed that the errant traders across the country were selling surgical masks at black market prices.
