Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has given a statement to the CID on Easter Sunday attacks earlier today.
The ongoing investigation aims to ascertain whether the defence authorities deliberately neglected intelligence information about a possible terrorist attack in Colombo.
The Attorney General has maintained that he will not appear on behalf of the former President and the former Prime Minister in the case involving the Easter Sunday attacks.
Wickremesinghe, a member of the national security council, said he was not invited for the security council meetings after October 26, 2018.
