Sri Lanka has suspended issuing on-arrival visa for Chinese tourists after a Chinese national was diagnosed with Corona virus last evening.

A 43 year old woman, who traveled to Sri Lanka as a tourist, was tested positive for Corona virus, health authorities confirmed.

Meanwhile, a number of selected hospitals in selected areas have been put on stand-by mode to treat Corona patients.

However, Sri Lankan health authorities maintain that there is no reason for citizens to panic as all measures are in place to control the spread of the disease.
