Embilipitiya High Court judge Gihan Pilapitiya's service has been suspended by the Judicial Services Commission.

Pilapitiya is now under investigation in connection with the phone recording controversy involving MP Ranjan Ramanayake.

Pilapitiya has already given a statement to the Colombo Crimes Division over the phone recordings and his association with the UNP MP.

Retired judge Padmini R. Ranawaka and Dhammika Hemapala are also under investigation over the same matter.
